Frequently Asked Questions
Do you accept insurance?
At this time, Evergreen Counseling accepts Harvard Pilgrim, Tufts, and Self-Pay. Evergreen Counseling can provide a superbill for clients with Out-of-Network benefits with insurance plans that we currently do not accept. Please see our Services page for more information.
Do I need to commit to either meeting in person or virtually?
No, we offer telehealth and in-person sessions. When scheduling a session, please let the therapist know your preference.
What are out-of-network benefits?
Out-of-network benefits vary based on the client’s insurance plan. Upon request, superbills can be provided to clients to submit to their insurance company for reimbursement (depending on the client’s out-of-network coverage). Please check with your insurance company for out-of-network coverage.
Do you take a sliding scale?
Yes, a sliding scale is offered based on client needs and current therapist caseload. For those who are curious as to what a sliding scale is, it is a system that adjusts fees based on the client’s ability to pay for services. Please ask the therapist directly if a sliding scale can be accommodated.
